Housebreaking tips for puppies
Housebreaking tips for puppies
So your kids finally convinced you to adopt a small puppy, or just felt like you need some company. Puppy housebreaking can be a great fun.
The best housebreaking tips for puppies I can give you are:
Family business. Don't be the only one in the family who's taking care of the puppy. Growing a new puppy should be a family task.
Coordination. all family is synchronized on the same training methods. Coordinate your reactions to the puppy behavior and even commanding words. it's important not to confuse the young puppy as he's on a new learning curve.
Care. Do not neglect your puppy and give him enough attention.
Borders. Restrict your puppy to a small room in the house until he's trained. Make sure you take care of all his needs, food, water, and a crane.
Educate. If you don't catch your puppy doing it, then don't punish him for it! Educate by praising him when he does in a proper place and don't forget to provide him such one, it can be a crane or in a later stage outside. Use an enthusiastic tone. With repetition, your puppy will associate the correct behavior with the reward.
Odor. Puppies tend to eliminate in the same spot again and again because they sense the smell. Deodorize the spot so he will stop recognize it.
Feeding. The feeding regime you use can help or disrupt housebreaking. Soon as your puppy grows, you'll find out that your puppy-dog need to go out after he wakes up in the morning and after food. Do not skip it if you like your living room clean. It's also very important for your puppy to acquire such habits since dogs are habit animals.
Housebreaking puppies can be great fun. One of the most important housebreaking tips for puppies that I can give you is that you be very patient. never lose your temper or even get excited. Remember you are on a training process.

How large does a maltese female need to be to breed?
My husband and I are looking for a maltese puppy and Im curious to know how large a female should be to breed. I know some breeders are breeding very small females to get these so called tea cups. Is a 3lb maltese suitable to have puppies? Would there be any health issues with the litter?

I have two pet rabbits and I'm planning on getting a maltese puppy. I heard that females are more protective and will bark at other animals, but I wanted people's opinions.
