What is the best diet for a German Shepherd?

What is the best brand of dog food for a German Shepherd? Should I give him some raw meat instead of dog food every once in a while? Also he's just a normal household dog, so he won't really need anything like Eukanabu b/c he's not a show dog.

I am getting a new great Dane pup, what is the best way to introduce him to my sisters hyper active Yorkie?

This is my first great Dane and i am trying to do the best thing i can to make sure we are living in a balanced household. My sister's yorkie is very very hyper, deals with separation anxiety, a little bit of aggression and excessive barking.
