Dogs Need Large Dog Beds

Do you love your large dogs? If you do, your dogs must have large dog beds for them to relax after long hours of guarding your home and barking at strangers. Bedtime is the most peaceful moment and dogs should not just have to sleep anywhere. They have feelings too, and comfort is also necessary for them. Lying on hard and cold floor makes them unhealthy. Spread of lice is most likely to occur so their environment is prone to preys and viruses.

Show them that they have value by providing the best large dog beds. You can choose from variety of shapes such as oblong, rectangular and donut and shaped beds. This is ideal for big dogs as they can easily snuggle. That way, they can make their daily routine with high energy and at ease.

A store that sells large dog beds considers quality and durability of their products. High quality beds usually last for long years. They are made of industrial strength materials, quality upholstery fiber, canvas cover and fiber protector. Other features include reversible cushion, easy Velcro system, stain resistant, soft and moldable, easily transportable, antibacterial and with orthopedic qualities.

Buying a large dog beds is probably one of your high expenses for your dogs but it is your responsibility to provide them with comfortable bed. Realizing their worth helps you decide on buying a bed for them. Large dog beds of high quality are hard to find. Yes, your local store offers large beds but it is frequently available. They have to wait for orders and delivery. Anyone can make and sew beds but, the quality and style of the bed is not emphasized. You treat this as a gift to your loyal dogs. You can see finest finds online on various prices. The cost is affordable but the fee for shipping added to its value making it expensive. You need to allot time and money in order to have what’s best for your pet.

Dogs are man’s best friend. Whenever I have problems, my two dogs tender me and they uplift my spirit. It seems that they know how I feel and that they should do something to comforts me. I and my younger sister really love to see them play on their mats. Its bedtime and I guess they were tired.

As I stroll at the mall, I suddenly saw a pet shop, and then I stay for a while and take a look at the breeds displayed. At the corner were couch and beds for dogs. The large dog bed easily catches my attention and inquires about the price. It is affordable but I’m not decided to buy it at that time. When I arrived home, I checked the features and the benefits that my two dogs will have and then immediately called the pet store to order, good thing it is still available. It’s awesome! I only have to get one because my two pets suited to its size. I love to see them sleep in peace on top of beautiful large dog bed.

What is wrong with my dog

What is wrong with my dog

Understanding your dog actions is the first step in dealing with dog's behavior. Unless some irregular or aggressive behavior as a response to a medical treatment, most probably, your dog didn't turn bad overnight. Most dog's behavior issues start small and grow out of control as the behavior is continually reinforced. If you want to learn how to train a dog to behave, look back to when it all began and ask yourself a few simple questions.

These questions will help you analyze your dog's behavior. You will be surprised how easy it is to turn your rebellious dog into a good and disciplined animal.

  • Does a specific behavior occur only when certain people are at home?
  • Is it only happening in specific parts of the house or particular areas outside?
  • Are there any objects that stimulate your dog to take action?
  • Does your dog do it constantly or occasionally?
  • Does he do it when he's triggered or any other time?
  • Did he ever change his behavior in response to something you did or say?

Rewarding bad behavior can be destructive.

In most cases the answer for the question what is wrong with my dog can be solved if only we knew dogs tendencies to repeat rewarding behaviors. A bad behavior can quickly grow out of control and the more your dog behaves wrong, the more likely he is to do it again. If you forbid his bad behavior, you will be able to break this cycle and stop the problem before it gets worse. Remember, it's always easier to acquire new good behavior to your dog than replace a bad one.

Make your own choice.

I know, it's frustrating to find your dog's poo on the living room carpet or your brand new shoe chewed up. So when you helplessly standing and asking yourself what is wrong with my dog, remember that controlling your dog's behavior is in your hands.. If you manage to succeed, you can avoid unpleasant situations such these, you'll have less negative emotions and stress, you'll appreciate the dog more and more and obviously yourself.

Housebreaking Older Dog

Housebreaking Older Dog

So you decided that you want to adopt an older dog rather than a housebreaking a puppy. Congratulations!

Older dog house breaking can be an amusing experience yet a bit traumatic for both, you and the dog.

When you bring your dog home, he may be a bit confused, after all its not the place he's used to, it's not the food nor smells he recognize, he find the place difficult to orientate and get used to, he doesn't even know where he can rest. All in all, it might be traumatic a bit for your new friend.

In order to succeed with your house breaking older dog, you might want to conceder the followings, conceder it as free dog training tips.

  • Tour. just as if he was a young puppy! Introduce him to the back yard, wait for him to eliminate, be patient. Show him you are happy that he eliminated, in that way he will gradually learn to eliminate only outside.
  • First excitement. Let him get excited from his new environment, he might have been tied up all that time in the shelter and now he enjoys the freedom he gained.
  • Digestions. Due to changes in the food and water he's used to, your dog might experience diarrhea. Make sure you take him out side often to a place he can eliminate. Praise him for that each and every time he eliminates.
  • Education. Do not punish your dog if he eliminate inside house. Neglecting your dog's neds or lacking of basic understanding in dog's behavior, isn't his fault.
  • Habits. Take your dog outside to eliminate every morning (even if he doesn't have to). Remember to praise him when he does.
  • Crate. Another great technique to train your dog eliminating outdoors is buying him a crate. A night sleep or three to four hours during the day will be very helpful for housebreaking process. Dogs are well known as den creatures. A crate can be a good alternative for their garden digging tendency.

House breaking older dog can be a fun and challenging experience, if u only learn how to do it. U must have a lot of patient and good will, exactly like you raise one of your own kids to be successful in life.

I do I train a 3 year old great dane who destroys the house and pees and poops on the floor?

I recently adopted a 3 year old female great dane. As sweet as she is though, she is very destructive and pees and poops in the house no matter how many times she is let out. Ive given her tons of toys and nothing is working. I need some specific advice on what to do? Ive never had to train an adult dog who weighs as much as I do before.

Help!!… Great Dane Training..?

I have a 13 week Great Dane mix.. She's 1/2 Great Dane and 1/2 Bull Mastiff...
She's a really sweet dog, but she just does not listen! She understands that we someone says "NO!" that she's not supposed to do that or go there, but sometimes she still does... I know that you're supposed to use positive reinforcement with danes, but sometimes it gets so annoying that I'll yell or tap her on the butt real lightly... but for the most part I just clap my hands real loudly..

Oh she also runs away sometimes when I try to bring her back...

PLEASE!! If you know how to help ANSWER!!

Thank You!! :)
Thanks for all ya'lls help...
And yes I realize that Harleigh is still just a young pup.. I guess I just forget cause she's so big! haha..

If you have any other training tips that may help.. You are more than welcome to share them with me! ;) Thanks again!

Great Dane puppy training question?

My Great Dane puppy Thor is 4 months old. Very healthy, happy and for the most part as well behaved as you can reasonably expect a baby to be.

He is growing fast and is now tall enough to stick his head in the trash can. He has started digging through the trash and tearing it up.

I try to keep an eye on him, but it is impossible to watch him every second. He is crate trained, so he does not wander around the house at night or when I am not home.

I have bought a can of stuff that is supposed to be a harmless dog repellant and sprayed it all over the outside of the trash can, including the lid. It does not seem to bother him or slow him down at all.

He is otherwise a sweet natured and well behaved puppy. I am training him to sit and stay and walk on a leash, those I can do with treats and praise. I understand how to teach what I want him to do; however I am at a loss when it comes to teaching him what I do not want him to do.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Training a great dane that does whatever it wants?

I have no clue where to start. How can u teach a great dane that if its not given to him, its not his. he's a puppy (21 months) but he's already stolen 3 WHOLE dinners, including a thanksgiving dinner which would of lasted more then one day. he ate better then us. the people i live with think thats funny. he steals food at any oppurtinuty its like you have to fight him to have your own cuz hes so huge. to him its worth it cuz he gets yelled at, but he still gets the food. (u can be yelling at him as hes still taking it so that shows 100% that he dont give a damn) so i try & take it to the next level after he stole off my 1 year old daughters tray and not give him any treats but give the other dog in front of him & they get pissed at me about it. its not my dog but i am a person so i am over the dog & im doing what i can do to work with him bc hes behavior is unacceptable. i dont feel like any dog should be liked to much to get trained and he is spoiled way past rotten & the food isnt the only thing he acts up with.
really 1st answer, its all that? this isnt my dog & the problems are over welming but theres only so much i can do, i cant take him out of the bed that he sleeps in with his mommy and daddy, so yes he thinks he is king.

What to do about a bad behaved Great Dane?

My boyfriend and I have a 8 month old Great Dane. She is a very whiny, bad behaved dog, that after months of training, still bites people, still pees and poos in the house, runs around like a crazy dog, runs straight in to people and objects, and is just all together not a well trained dog. She has her moments, rarely, where she will behave for very short periods of time.

I am almost 12 weeks pregnant, and I can't have my dog acting this way. And once my baby is here, more importantly, she will not be able to act this way. Right now there is NO way I can afford training classes. My vet recommended obedience training, but that is way to expensive for us right now. I really don't want to have to sell my dog, but she can not keep acting this way.

Can you tell me any training tips?
What could I do to help?

Also, is there some type of medicine or anything I could give her to calm her down? She is WAY to hyper. I know she is a puppy, but she is a huge puppy that stays in the house, and jumps on people, and breaks things, and I need something to calm her down. She gets plenty of exercise, so that's not the problem.

Thanks for your help!

Is it common to be able to adopt a young Great Dane that already has it’s ears cropped?

I'm looking into adopting a Great Dane but i think i want to adopt an adolescent. I also really like the look of cropped ears on this breed but unless the dog already has it done i am not going to put it through that. I was just wondering if it was common in rescue dogs to see cropped ears. Also what is a good age to start training a Great Dane?

training a great dane puppy?

I am thinking about getting a great dane puppy, he is 4 months old. I want to train him as well as I can when he is young, everything from general obedience, to taking walks, and being housetrained. I'm also worried that since it is a boy he will lift his leg and pee in the house? How can I prevent this?

I heard that if a male dog is neutered before a certain age this will prevent them from lifting their leg when they are urinating.. true? If so what age?

Thanks.

Training a 13weeks old great dane?

okey so i'm gonna get a great dane pup which is 13weeks old a male 1 and i'm really exited because i'm a big dog lover! the problem i'm having is that the dogs i've had before were not big and so there was no need of specially training them since they can be handled very easily.. though i've searched alot on the internet about how to tran a great dane i couldn't find any.

i've learnt that great danes are very kind playful dogs and love human presence. but it specifically says that the dog should be very well trained to be obidient to the owner... and that left me a bit nervous

so any tips on how to train a great dane are really appreciated! thank you!

training my great dane??

I have a 1 1/2 yo great dane. He is the GREATEST dog I have ever had. He sits, stays, speaks, shakes, comes, stays etc... I don't even have to have him on a leash in my unfenced back yard or the park or where ever(i do for legal reasons when required).

OK so the only thing I cant get this great dog to too is STOP EATING OFF THE TABLE,TRASH and anything with people food on it.

I have had the dog for a week. I do not give him people food, but the previous owner more then likely did.
Yes this dog is very smart. NO does it and he backs away, but he will come back and do it right in front of me like its nothing
"donna and jesse" great site and you know your stuff.

the answer is not to simply make it so the dog cant get it. I should be able to leave a t-bone steak right in front of my dog and say one command and he will NEVER even look at it unless I say its ok. any dog can be trianed like that and I have trianed this dog a lot in a week, but I was stuck on one problem. sorry, but if you just make it so the dog cant get it then you are not trianing your dog.

Best puppies food

Best puppies food

Puppies grow much faster than older dogs and thats why nutrition is so important at this stage and why you should give your puppy the best puppy food. It is mostly recommended to feed your puppy 4 times a day and then only 3 times a day until its about 6 month old and requires only 2 meals a day. Its also best to feed adult large breed dogs twice a day so your puppy would be ready for life with this plan. You shouldn’t let your puppy feel that it can eat whenever it wants so dont leave any food after the meal, if your puppy didnt finish his food after twenty min just take it until the next meal time that way your puppy will know that there are certain times in which it must eat.

The best puppy food is the one that will make your puppy pop brown, firm stools. If you see that this is not the case change the diet, if you gave it only moist food try switching to dry food. But keep the kind of food you chose for a while so your puppy will have the chance to get used to it. Your puppy gets used to his food very fast so dont replace one food with another too fast. Buy food that was made for puppies but dont waste your money on those over priced foods; just go with recommendations from friends or your vet. The best foods are based on chicken, rice and corn. As your puppy grows it will prefer drier foods so make sure to let it try them once in a while and see what works best for him. If you are looking for quality foods which are also cheap and if you want to get the best price I truly recommend that you'll check out Dog.com. I wish you and your puppy a healthy and long life together.

What kind of other dogs usually get along with a great dane?

We have a 1yr old great dane, a spayed female. We would like to get another dog that is not a dane, preferably about the size of a cocker spaniel or smaller (but not as small as a toy dog) ... We know that personalities will be the biggest deciding factor... and we would get the new dog as a pup but we dont know what kinds of breeds they tend to get along with... if you have a dane what other dogs do you have?

How can I prevent bow legs or knuckling in a Great Dane puppy?

I am getting my 10 week old Great Dane puppy shipped to me on Thursday. I've done some research and I see that Great Dane legs are prone to bowing or knuckling. What can I do to prevent that? I know placing the puppy on a low protein diet is one way but is there anything else I need to be careful of? Any advice from Great Dane owners is much appreciated.

When adopting a great dane puppy, is there a difference between males and females?

I currently have an adult male dog (80lbs) who is a little dumb acting, but a total love bug and an adult female dog (5lbs) who can be lovey, but is more independant and a little bossy. When considering adopting a great dane puppy which would be better, male or female?

How does a Great Dane at age 1 need to weigh?

My big baby is 88 pounds. She had a birthday on Feb 14th, so she is 1 years old. I took her to the vet for her rabies, and i asked my vet if her being thin is okay. He did say she looks thin but her coat is very shiny and she appears to be healthy! How much does a Great Dane suppose to weigh at 1? She is a harlequin, about 6 feet tall standing on her back legs. Thank you for any help!

He's a sweetie with us and the shelter says he's fine with small dogs, but I want to do what is best for our cats and also not put stress on the dog if we were to have to return him (he's been at this shelter twice due to bad situations).
