What to do about a bad behaved Great Dane?
My boyfriend and I have a 8 month old Great Dane. She is a very whiny, bad behaved dog, that after months of training, still bites people, still pees and poos in the house, runs around like a crazy dog, runs straight in to people and objects, and is just all together not a well trained dog. She has her moments, rarely, where she will behave for very short periods of time.
I am almost 12 weeks pregnant, and I can't have my dog acting this way. And once my baby is here, more importantly, she will not be able to act this way. Right now there is NO way I can afford training classes. My vet recommended obedience training, but that is way to expensive for us right now. I really don't want to have to sell my dog, but she can not keep acting this way.
Can you tell me any training tips?
What could I do to help?
Also, is there some type of medicine or anything I could give her to calm her down? She is WAY to hyper. I know she is a puppy, but she is a huge puppy that stays in the house, and jumps on people, and breaks things, and I need something to calm her down. She gets plenty of exercise, so that's not the problem.
Thanks for your help!

How do you stop a dog from digging under the fence (chainlink and privacy)?
He is fixed and gets plenty of attention and exercise. He is a rescued dog that we have had for about 2 months. We were told he was between 1 and 2 years old. Because of many behaviors, I think he is closer to 1. He began escaping from the start through holes the neighbor's dog dug into our yard (forgot about them). When I plugged those up, he just started digging new ones. After chasing him down a few times, I just put him on a line. I hate doing that when our older dog does not need one. I have seen the suggestion of mothballs. Do you just set them out along the fence line or do you bury them a little? Thanks!!

How do I get my dog (pomeranian) to lose weight?
How can we get our 8 month pomeranian to lose weight? He's a toy dog and weighs 9 pounds, while the limit is 6 to 7 pounds. So, he's overweight by 2 or 3 pounds. Even though it's a little over the limit, it makes a difference for a toy dog's health. His skin feels fatty/ blubbery, but not too much.
We give him about 1/2 cup of food added with peas and milk (sometimes yam) twice a day. He also gets exercise- around 1 to 3 laps around our neighbour hood. His treat is a dried chicken breast once a day.
Thanks!!
