Family business. Don't be the only one in the family who's taking care of the puppy. Growing a new puppy should be a family task.

Care. Do not neglect your puppy and give him enough attention.
Borders. Restrict your puppy to a small room in the house until he's trained. Make sure you take care of all his needs, food, water, and a crane.
Educate. If you don't catch your puppy doing it, then don't punish him for it! Educate by praising him when he does in a proper place and don't forget to provide him such one, it can be a crane or in a later stage outside. Use an enthusiastic tone. With repetition, your puppy will associate the correct behavior with the reward.
Odor. Puppies tend to eliminate in the same spot again and again because they sense the smell. Deodorize the spot so he will stop recognize it.
Feeding. The feeding regime you use can help or disrupt housebreaking. Soon as your puppy grows, you'll find out that your puppy-dog need to go out after he wakes up in the morning and after food. Do not skip it if you like your living room clean. It's also very important for your puppy to acquire such habits since dogs are habit animals.

How to train my 2 year old doberman?
I have a doberman thats almost 2 years old. I adopted him in December. The problem is when I walk him he always wants to run but I am unable to run. When I put him outside he would jump scatching my windows. I mean he's very gentle and doesn't bite but this is becoming a bit of a problem. Any tips on how I can control this? How to train Doberman PInsher to protect/attack?
Hi i have a 3 month old doberman and i would like to know if its possible to train them to attack. I dont want to teach i this so i can make it attack people, i want to teach it because where i live there are lots of thieves and i want to avoid that. So if you have a cat at home maybe owning a Doberman pinscher isnt such a good idea. If you live in a loud place or if you tend to scream or shout a lot in the house your Doberman pinscher might suffer from that and act accordingly. But if you love animals and you are a quite and sportive kind of person then you can have a great time with Doberman pinscher and you'll both fall in love with one another.

I have a doberman that is a little over a year old. I just took him for his yearly checkup the other day and he is only 58 pounds, which is about 20 pounds under breed standards. How and where do i get my doberman puppy tested for genetic issues?
My female doberman puupy in 4 and a half months old. She will be 5mo on March 8. I recently found out that the breeder I bought her from did NOT have her parents tested for ANYTHING! I know there were suppose to be some tests...like hip and elbow. What test are there for her, and how old does she have to be to get them? Is it expensive?
How big can I expect my female doberman to get?
I had a lot of experience with large breed dogs but I have a 14 month old female black and tan doberman. She is getting to the age where I expect her to be fairly well full grown, but she seems to be getting taller. Am I imagining things or is it possible that she's still growing? I can see her filling out a bit more - she's still fairly slender, even for a doberman, but I'm wondering if she's going to get taller. Last time we were at the vet (5 months ago) she weighed just over 60 pounds, and has grown to about 70-75 pounds now. She's the first of her breed I've owned. She's an incredible dog! She's taller than our dalmatian by a good 4 inches, but she seems smaller than many dobermans I've seen.

What if my doberman is alone for 6 hours?
I'm planning on getting a Doberman in the summer. I have done my research and it seems as if I had to choose between the Doby and the Shepherd, but the Doby gets the edge.
I go to school during the regular school year from 7-2. Would my doberman have a hard time doing nothing? I will walk it in the morning before school to get it tired and in the evening, each walk about 45 minutes. I will be really loyal and nice. All it takes from the Doby on his side is the patience.
