Can I get my German Shepherd trained like a police dog?
Is there a place or way that I can get my German Shepherd trained like a guard dog? Like when I'm gone it will guard and attack people that come in unless I say so. Can I get it trained so it will attack on command? My dog is 1 year old and I want to make it really obediant. Also I want to train it also as my hunting companion.

How big should a great dane’s dog house be?
My husband is planning on building our dog a dog house for outside. We have great dane mix puppy only about 5 months old, he's far from being full grown so i'm not sure what his full grown measurements will be. How big should an average great danes dog house be? we've looked at a few designs and we want to build one with a door on the front left side and inside it has a little half wall kind of thing so he can go to the right side and be blocked from the wind and rain and everything else. any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Rescue Member - STOP JUDGING... anywhere in my question did i say i lock him outside all the time? No i did not. I love my dog and he is a great companion. did it ever occur to you that when i do put him outside on occasion, that i would like him to feel just as loved as if he was inside with me? have you ever had so much company that you want your dog outside so he doesn't bother them? i don't want to just put him out in my back yard, this house is for him to be in when he just can't be inside with me! How do I find a reasonable priced great dane puppy?
I've searched many sites and can't find what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a fawn great dane puppy for a companion, not show. I live in tunkhannock, pa. I'm willing to drive to New York or New Jersey.

My 1 year old Great Dane is home alone during the day – what can I do to avoid her tearing up stuff?
My great dane is home alone for most of the day as we work full time. We got her a dog companion so she doesn't feel so alone! Unfortunately, she still seems to feel abandonned. They stay in a 10 x 10 kennel in our garage! We can't leave the pillows in it as she will shred them to pieces! Recently we invested in some linoleum so they are not on the cement and she even managed to tear a huge hole in it!! What can I do to stop that?
We can not leave her outside all day as she will dig in the yard and even has dug out bushes and small trees. We play with her for 15 minutes or so in the morning before we leave! She has tore up any rug we put in there so far!
