Every week to 12 weeks for a bath.
Combs are way better than brushes. A "greyhound" comb is the best – medium/fine, teeth on one side bigger than the other. Comb all of the coat – the behind, the legs, the tail, behind the ears, between the legs – don’t miss any area!
You can use a hair dryer to blow dry your dog, as poms take forever to dry. Use the LOW setting for heat! DO NOT use anything other than that – not even warm! Constantly move it all over the body, don’t leave it in one spot as burning can occur (yes, even on -warm-).
Your dog will blow coat twice a year, once in the spring, once in the fall. Get ready for it, and get ready to comb the coat constantly or take to a groomer during the height of it to help "blow" the coat.
Shaving your dog down because he’s "hot" is a bad idea. Dogs sweat through their feet; shaving them can cause a sunburn. Not to mention, their coats are built to keep them warm and cool as needed.
Don’t forget, your dogs temp runs 100-102F normally. Your dog will feel warm to you, but will be just fine.

Basically give them a bath ever week with dog shampoo. I like to use oatmeal based shampoo because it’s good for their coat.
You brush them regularly so their fur doesn’t get tangled and so they always look pretty.
Don’t let their nails get too long. I usually clip my dog’s nails every week/week and a half.
Good luck!
Wait at least a couple of months before bathing your dog. Pomeranians have a minimal amount of oil on their coat and skin. You should never wash a Pomeranian more than once a month, but waiting 2 to 3 months is better. At the minimum, bath your dog every 6 months.
First, Congratulations on choosing your first dog!!!! SO EXCITING!!!!
Usually grooming frequency is a personal decision and is unique for each and EVERY dog so I’m including quite a few links where you can compare info on Pomeranian specifically and decide what works best for your little bundle of fur!
I would think mostly you’ll need 2 brush him or her 2-3x daily.
Good luck and happy training!!!!
Most dogs would rather skip bath time, but bathing plays an important role in the health of your dog’s coat and skin, helping to keep your dog clean and free of dirt and parasites. And of course, there’s the added benefit of making your pooch more pleasant to be around. Here are some details on Pomeranians’ grooming,
