How do I know when my Maltese is in heat?
My Maltese is acting a little weird lately. Kind of hyper, and wanting to get into things she usually wouldnt. Is she in heat? How can I tell?

They usually go into heat about every 6 months. My Maltese bled for about 2 1/2 weeks straight when she was in heat. It was such a mess! Also, if you take your dog to the vet they can tell you if she is in heat or not.
How old is she? has she been bred or with a male dog?if so Maltese rarely show that they are even pregnant until the last 2 weeks.Is she getting a little fatter? you have to look close because a Maltese does not bleed allot when they are in heat and you can miss it.and her hoody hoo gets a little swollen.
I haven’t had any problems with my maltese.
