How do I determine what kind of mastiff I have?
I just got a mastiff pup a couple days ago, 8 weeks old. I'm not sure what kind of mastiff he is. Any suggestions on how to determine the different types of mastiffs apart??

Most of the mastiffs are totally different. You can google the different kinds and look at the pictures but if it is mixed it may be hard to determine 100%.
English Mastiffs are the original and are the largest. Bull Mastiffs have English Mastiff and English Bulldogs in them so they are generally smaller than the English and have a shorter muzzle. Neapolitan Mastiffs are usually a blue color and have lots of wrinkles. There are a few other kinds but these 3 are the most common.
Where did you get him from? If a breeder, then you should have gotten papers. If not you will probably never find out.
You can post some pictures but most likely will have to wait until he is full grown until it is clear if he is a mix or not. Likely just a plain ol’ mastiff.

I don’t quite follow you… a Mastiff is a breed. A mastiff is a mastiff. If you bought a mastiff, you bought a mastiff.
There are bullmastiffs, but that is an entirely different breed. Bullmastiffs are smaller, have less loose skin, and a very different looking face. If the person you got this puppy from doesn’t know what kind of dogs they have, then you probably got a mutt, or they’re really stupid.

i have an english mastiff.
when it grows up, it’ll be HUGE if its a english mastiff..
it will still be a big dog, but mostly average size if its a bull mastiff.
it may be a can corso..it’ll look like a pitt and mastiff cross..
u can go to the vet and they can do a blood test now to determine the breed for about 80$
I can only hope it is a shelter dog to account for the lack of information. Aside from size, it is almost impossible to tell any breed of puppy from another. You will get more clues as the dog ages, unless you are willing to spring for the highly expensive and inaccurate dog DNA test.
