How common is a hernia in a 6 week doberman puppy?
I am buying a doberman pup from it seems like a reputable breeder but I am just curious if this will impact the health of the doberman and whether it goes away by itself. There is some info on the internet but answers are not very clear.

Umbilical hernias are fairly common an dnot much of a bother. most vets hapily fix the hernia at the same time they spay/neuter the dog, so if you’re planning on desexing your puppy just point it out to the vet, they will double check, and then fix the hernia.
It’s generally not advised to breed from an animal with a hernia in any case, as there was some evidence that there might be a genetic factor involved, though this isn’t yet proven.
